成仔讲古 之狮城奇案录

SENG ZAI CANTONESE STORYTELLING: TRUE SINGAPORE CRIMINAL ARCHIVES is a Cantonese video podcast programme that showcases eight reenactments of hair-raising crimes that had happened in Singapore over the past fifty years. The types of crimes covered in the programme, ranges from crimes against persons, property, morality and hate crimes. The goal of the programme is to throw light on the criminal minds, the work of the Singapore Police Force and civic-minded Singaporeans so as to raise awareness, promote vigilance and educate the public on crime prevention. All stories are true, with only the names and some details altered to protect the innocent.

「成仔讲古」之狮城奇案录 SENG ZAI CANTONESE STORYTELLING: TRUE SINGAPORE CRIMINAL ARCHIVES is part of Season Two of 大声D茶室 / Warung Cakap Apa(What did You Say Teahouse), initiated and produced by arts company 3Pumpkins. It is a community arts project created in the initial stage of the COVID-19 lock-down in a bid to connect with seniors living in isolation, and in languages that are familiar to the elderly but are uncommonly heard in the mass media today. The project is part of an intersectoral community project that creates new artistic content in the vernacular languages (Chinese dialects, Malay and Tamil) for seniors who found themselves physically and emotionally isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

大声D茶室 / Warung Cakap Apa Season Two is presented by 3Pumpkins, with the support of Temasek Trust oscar@sg fund, Our SG Fund, and National Arts Council Singapore
